Forgot M2 Username or Password

M2's recovery form handles both your username and your password. You verify with a one-time code sent to your phone or email.

How to recover your M2 account

  1. Open the official link and tap Login.
  2. Tap Forgot Username/Password? under the password field.
  3. Choose Mobile OTP or Email OTP. For Mobile OTP, enter the Contact Number on your account (country code +60).
  4. Tap Send, type the code you receive into the OTP field, then tap Verify OTP.
  5. Follow the on-screen steps, then log in with your details. Set a new password you have not used anywhere else.

OTP not arriving?

  • Double-check the number. Leave out the leading 0 if the +60 code is already selected.
  • Wait 60 seconds before you tap Send again; repeated requests can be delayed.
  • Check you have mobile signal and that SMS from unknown senders is not blocked.
  • Try the Email OTP tab and check your spam folder.

Your OTP is a key, not a password to share. Never send it to anyone in WhatsApp, Telegram or a phone call. Real M2 support will never ask for it.

Avoid getting locked out again

  • Save your username and password in your phone's password manager.
  • Keep the phone number on your account up to date.
  • Use a strong, unique password, not your IC number or birthday.

FAQs

Questions

I did not receive the Mobile OTP. What should I do?

Check the number and the +60 country code, make sure you have signal, and wait a minute before tapping Send again. If SMS still does not arrive, switch to the Email OTP tab.

Can I recover my account if I no longer use that phone number?

Try Email OTP if your account has an email. If neither works, contact M2 support through LiveChat on the official site and follow their verification steps.

Will M2 ever ask me for my OTP?

No. The OTP is only for you to type into M2's own form. Anyone asking you to read it out, even if they claim to be support, is trying to take your account.

Can I recover my username, not just my password?

Yes. The form is called Forgot Username/Password and covers both.

How do I avoid forgetting my password again?

Save it in your phone's password manager, keep the phone number on your account up to date, and use a password you will remember but do not use anywhere else.
